The group of ten musicians from Nubiyan Twist invites the singer Ego Ella May to guest on their first single of the year entitled “24-7”.
With two albums, the collective signed to the excellent Strut Records has made a name for itself in the lively scene on the other side of the Atlantic. Coming from Leeds and now based in London, the group led by producer and guitarist Tom Excell, offers a cocktail of jazz, soul, hip-hop, afro and electro influences. Their latest album, Jungle Run, is a cultural melting pot, notably through the prestigious guests they feature: Mulatu Astatke, Tony Allen, and the Ghanaian K.O.G….
For their first single of the year, Nubiyan Twist invited the neo soul artist Ego Ella Maye. A track with an irresistible groove carried by the contagious voice, both subtle and powerful, joined by a tenor sax solo by Denis Scully.
